Laura’s Choice was selected to pitch in the 2020 FACTory Forum at AIDC. At the closing night of the conference, co-directors Sam Lara and Cathy Henkel won the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival Award, and the Doc Edge New Zealand pitching award.
Their attendance at the conference helped the directors raise awareness and interest in the documentary and secure an ABC pre-sale for 2 x 60 minute program for broadcast in early 2021.
